The New Lions?
The New Lions?
While thinking about how annoying it is to follow a team that - once a season begins - never gives its fans a glimmer of hope, I took a look at the Browns' record over the first 8 games for the past decade.
It was as ugly as I thought.
Other than 2002 (when the team was 4-4), and 2007 (5-3), 6 times the Browns have been 3-5, once they were 2-6 and once 1-7.
A person with a sunny disposition would say that at least Browns fans aren't ever given a false feeling of hope.
The rest of us would say that they are a team without hope. In other words, they are hopeless.
My only consolation is that since I live outside of the TV range of northern Ohio, I do not have to watch the rest of the season as it unfolds.
